Jenna Edition is a mod of Golden Sun 1 that swaps Jenna and Garet's role in the story, making Jenna playable throughout the whole adventure in the process. Currently only a Modern Version exists, skipping the prologue in exchange for some quality-of-life features. A Classic Version, playing closer to the original Golden Sun may be made in the future.

Features include:
- Playable Jenna from beginning to end of Golden Sun 1, with all of her classes and Psynergy from The Lost Age.
- Minor dialogue changes to accommodate for the character swap.
- Mia gaining access to Guard and Protect in her default class to make up for Garet not being in the party.

Extra Features in Modern Version:
- Game skips right to the start of leaving Vale as well as skipping Flint's tutorial.
- Retreat functions as fast travel if used on the World Map.
- Avoid changed to act as an encounter toggle rather than a temporary repel.
- Various changes have been made to Psynergy and Psynergy items to make utility spells free to use and ease item management.
- Mis. changes to other items.
See Read-me for more details on updates implemented.

Semi-incompatible with save transfer to The Lost Age. See Read-me for more details.

- Retreat functions as fast travel if used on the World Map.
- Avoid changed to act as an encounter toggle rather than a temporary repel.
- Scared Feathers now takes on an effect similar to the Djinni Quartz (60% chance to revive ally to half health)
- Quartz's ability now acts as a 80 HP heal that is guaranteed to revive if the ally is down.
- A buff to the Adept Ring, now recovering 15 PP.
- All Psynergy that is strictly utility costs 0 PP.
- Not needing to change classes to use Growth. Instead, Jenna has a new Psynergy called "Sunshine" that behaves similarly outside of battle.
- Ivan now always has access to "Gust", regardless of class. It's a Psynergy that behaves similarly to Whirlwind outside of battle.
- Mia gains a new Psynergy, "Holy Ply", regardless of class.
Outside of battle, it lets you solve the puzzles of the Mercury Lighthouse. In battle, it heals a small amount of HP to an ally.
- Ply from the original game is now referred to as "Healing Ply".
- "Chill" and "Rain" replace "Frost" and "Douse" outside of battle. They function the same except they cost 0 PP and cannot be used in battle.
- Douse Drop and Frost Gem now bestow Rain and Chill respectfully when equipped.
- You may notice Chill and Rain in more classes than the original games.
- Frost and Douse are available in battles as normal.
- When equipping the Shaman's Rod, it also bestows Rain.
- Psynergy items can be sold and rebought at an item shop's Artifact Shop.
- Djinn no longer can run away from you in battle.

Noticeable Issues and Other Disclaimers...
Implementing fast travel in the Modern version does come at the cost of Bilbin Barricade no longer existing in the game normally. This is because the code that I use to implement this feature uses that location's map marker for Crossbone Isles to allow fast travel to that dungeon once you've reached it once.

In the Modern version, do not leave Avoid on before saving and quitting the game as there is a bug with the ability that causes the toggle not to work properly if you do. If you do run into the bug, transition between areas (such as the overworld and a town) while toggling the ability until it starts functioning again.

Various items and Psynergy have been removed in order to fit Jenna's new moves and the new utility Psynergy. These are either items/Psynergy that only exist in the game's code and never actually used, or Psynergy you would normally not get access to post-Lv. 30. Neither of these should be a major issue since getting past level 30 in the first game is normally not possible without excessive grinding.

In addition, the Fire Psynergy line has been replaced with the Beam Psynergy line.
Certain enemies have their move pools slightly altered to make up for the lack of certain Psynergy.

Disclaimer: If save data from this mod is transferred to The Lost Age, Jenna will revert back to Garet. While you will keep equipment in the transfer, having equpiment Jenna can equip but Garet can't may have unintended consequences. Bronze or Silver password is recommended to avoid these issues.
