Here's a hack that Dr. Mario made in 2003 when Tek Hacks used to be around, he gives SMB a Zelda feel. If you're a Zelda fan, or like Platforms make sure to give this oldie but goodie hack a try. :)

READ ME!.txt ->I hope you know what this is...
ZELDA_OUTSKIRTS.IPS ->IPS patch to be patched to a Super Mario Brothers (with title screen)ROM

Why did I make this?:
I've been tooling around with hacking for a long while, but nothing really that great ever
came of it untill one day I found out that the Legend of Zelda 2 sprites were the same size
as Super Mario sprites. I started making the graphics-only hack, and I noticed that though it
looked cool something was missing... well I guess all I can say is that the rest is history!

STORY:
One evening in the outskirts of the Kingdom of Hyrule 8 palaces sprouted from the ground. The
Royalty was confused by this event, but advised the people to stay calm. One week later the
tri-force was found missing it's altar, and strange beasts were reported to be moving in from
the outskirts. This is where Link comes in... As Link it is your duty to find out what is
causing all of these troubles, put and end to it, and recover the tri-force! Good Luck!

THE STORY OF "STINK":
Psssh, Stink doesn't have a backstory, the palette change from Mario to Luigi just produced
something awful... but for some reason I grew to love stink and kept him along for the ride.

AREAS IN HYRULE:

Main outskirts-->Underground Caverns-->Outskirt tree tops-->Palace 1
The Mountains-->Lake Hylia-->Over Lake Hylia-->Palace 2
The Snow Path 1-->The Snow Path 2-->Above the Lost Woods-->Palace 3
The Wizrobe's Field-->The King's Tomb-->Entrance to the Under water Palace-->Palace 4
Entrance to the tunnels-->The Tunnels of Disaster-->Tree Tops-->Palace 5
Spectacle Rock-->Ocarina Field-->Snow Covered Trees-->Palace 6
Magic Cannon Deployment-->The Mystic Lake-->Above the Mystic Lake-->Palace 7
The Dark Tower

ITEMS:

Blue Potion- It makes Link strong enough to smash certain types of stone

The Great Fairy- She gives Link the ability to shoot beam swords

Rupees- 100 of these gives you an extra life

Piece of Power- temporarily makes Link invincible

Red Potion- Gives Link an Extra Life

CHARACTERS:

Link- His destiny is set to protect the tri-force

Stink- Link isn't alone on this quest! (It's just advised that he is...)

Citizens of Hyrule- Captured during the strange happenings in Hyrule, they are found in the
Palaces

ENEMIES:

Zol- the most basic troops in the evil army, a simple downthrust will kill them

Octorok- Thier hard heads keep them from being killed with just a downthrust
shoot them or downthrust them and kick them while they are stunned

Armos- These tough statues throw axes at you non-stop untill you destroy them

Bone Fish- These beasts from the deep can also jump out of the water for a devastating dive
tackle

Zora- The fish monsters swim underwater and try to make sure you down ever see dry land again

Spiders- Beam swords wont even stop these beasts, downthrust them and kick them away

Poes- Downthrusts will only get you hurt with poes, you need beam swords to kill them.

Wizrobes- These evil wizards throw poes from the sky, be careful if you see one

Bubbles- These will fire at you constantly, sometimes while you are in the treetops, and other
times through a magic cannon

???- The monster behind these attacks (I'm sure you know who it is)
