Super Mario Bros. 2: Super Mario Bros. 2 Turbo Edition

With the stars having different abilities and can float for a long period of time, this is definitely not your old Super Mario Bros. 2. 4matsy did a great job with the ASM, look where the hearts are located. And he did a great job with the graphics giving this hack a unique style, this hack needed to come to the masses. And the bosses will show you no mercy, you gotta have quick reflexes to battle them and collect lives in the bonus stages, you're gonna need lives in this hack. So if you're looking for a challenge, give this hack a try, you have nothing to lose, whee!

Let's get something straight first, this hack originally belongs to my old friend 4matsy. All I did was fix it up to make it playable, this hack was given to me about 10 years ago. When I saw it in an old folder, I started playing with it and took it upon myself to tweak it up and finish it.

What's been done?

Some minor graphics editing, mostly around where the last potion sprite was, it looked outta place so it looks good now.

I also added some blocks for you to fight Birdo where it was needed, you'll thank me later.

I changed the whole soundtrack, thanks to bbitmaster for his Game Genie code.

I fixed Fry Guy up, thanks to Trax for that.

Don't get it twisted, this is not the old SMB2 you're used to, the levels are the same but the characters can float for a long time. And the boss battles are intense and will show you no mercy, you'll see what I mean, just make sure you have quick reflexes to rack up on lives in the bonus stage. And it's possible to pass the levels with all characters since they all can float for a long time, and it is possible to beat the bosses.
