Super Mario Bros.: Super Mario Bros. Bad Future

In this new exciting adventure, Mario must thwart the plans of Doctor Robotnik by storming his mechanized mushroom kingdom, while fighting off the robotic hordes created from the life that once roamed the kingdom, King Koopa was unable to stop Robotnik, so does Mario have much of a chance himself? Only you can decide!

This hack has a total of 5 levels, and like a few recently uploaded hacks, was created for the SMB Jam, and was the winner! -more info on that in the ReadMe-

There are two versions of the hack included in the download, one has the typical 1-2 player select -where player two gets to use colors stylized after Mario's appearance in the original Super Mario Bros- and the other allows for the player to pick "Hard boiled" mode right from the start!

I know that I should be working on Plumber in time DX, and don't worry, I still am!
But at the same time, I wanted to try something different for a bit, and the recent SMB Jam -More info below- was the perfect opportunity to do so!

I'm not sure if much else needs to be said for the simple into text other than thanks for giving this hack a try!

---In order to play the hack you need:---

A Super Mario bros rom, the rom specifically you're looking for is "Super Mario Bros. (JU) (PRG0) [!] "
A patching program, "Lunar.ips" is my go-too.
An NES emulator, both "FCEUX" and "MESEN" are suggested, as they both seem to work flawlessly with this rom.
And of course, the patch file included in this folder, You can apply either to your rom.

An optional addition is the palette file "BMF_final2" it's meant to replicate how an NES would look on an old CRT TV from 1985.
It is the palette file used by me when playing the rom, so some of the color choices may seem more appropriate on that
rather then the default palette or other palettes.

---Patching the rom---

To patch your SMB1 rom, select either the 1-2 Player patch or the hard mode patch, if you have Lunar IPS installed you should be able to
click them to open up the patcher. Then, select your SMB1 rom and then, it should say the file was patched successfully.

---SMB Jam context---

In the SMB1 hacking discord, there was a contest similar to that of a game Jam, only instead of people making
games within a set amount of time, we had to make SMB1 romhacks in a set amount of time, that time being around 72 hours

As said in the trailer, I was the winner of this contest, which is something I will admit I am quite proud of.

---Story---
After Mario returned from the past, he finds that while he was gone, the kingdom has fallen into the hands of Doctor Ivo 'EggMan' Robotnik.
Will Mario be able to save the kingdom? Or will EggMan's plan be completed before it's too late!? Only you can decide in: Super Mario Bros: Bad Future
