This is a short Super Mario Bros. hack with 2 worlds. Bowser kidnaps Peach as usual, and this time Mario goes on a short desert adventure.

ABOUT:

This hack was started and first finished in August 2017. It was the first one I finished and released. The graphics are based on a SMW hack of mine, called "8-bit Mario World - Desert Mario". Which means there are some graphics from Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels and All Night Nippon Super Mario Bros.

It was further updated in October 2017 and March 2018, then over 2 years later, in November 2020, to make the hack easier.

This hack won't be using the SMM2 desert graphics, but the music theme is used in ground levels.

29/08/2017: Version 1.0 is released.
16/10/2017: Version 1.1 is released.
28/03/2018: Version 1.2 is released. On March 26th I ended up reuploading 1.0 for some reason.
07/11/2020: Version 2.0.0 is released.

CHANGE LOG:

V2.0.0 (07/11/2020):
* New title screen logo.
* Recorded new title demo.
* Various changes in every level, mainly to reduce difficulty by altering some of the level design, moving, changing and removing enemies.
* Added the "Fire Mario to Super Mario when hit" patch.
* Fixed blue flashing in 1-2 and 2-2, they use the mushroom platforms and they make the BG flash blue upon entering;
* Now with custom music: SMM2 SMB1 desert for ground levels, SMB2 Underground for cave levels and SML Ruins for castle levels. All music was coded by Eden GT, with some additional coding by StudsX for the castle theme.
* Removed misplaced enemies in hard mode.

V1.2 (28/03/2018):
* Title screen sligthly changed.
* Readded checkpoint in 1-3, and made some edits to that level.

V1.1 (16/10/2017):
* Lowered a pipe's height in 1-1.
* Fixed checkpoint for 1-2.
* Removed checkpoint in 1-3.
* A pipe in 1-2 and 2-1 is no longer enterable.

V1.0 (29/08/2017):
* Initial release.
