EARTHBOUND: EarthBound: Enhanced

EarthBound: Enhanced updates nearly all of EarthBound's 170 battle sprites with upgraded, better looking sprites. While being cleaner looking, it is very faithful to the original game's sprites and does not change or get rid of the original game's art-style or charm. In addition, it fixes typos and localization errors present in the English version's script. It also changes some enemy's battle music to better suit their design.

EarthBound: Enhanced, Version 1.1 (1/6/2019) <---- This is version you are using right now.

As of release 1.1, which came out on January 6th, 2019, this hack includes the following changes:

- Everything mentioned in release 1.0's changelog, plus...

- Fixed some more typos
- Minor edits to phrasing in certain dialogue
- Various sprite edits to look better

Some specifics of the changes in version 1.1 (This isn't all of the changes, but a few key ones):
- Made Starman Jr. pink, just like they are in Beginnings! (They're also still small like before.)
- Reverted Frank's lips back to being Pink/Red.
- Edited Heavily Armed Porky's sprite... just a little bit.
- Changed "Attack" in the PSI Menu back to "Offense", like it was originally. I'm honestly not even sure how that got changed.

EarthBound: Enhanced, Version 1.0 (3/28/2018)

As of release 1.0, which came out on March 28th, 2018, this hack includes the following changes:

- Almost all 170 EarthBound enemy battle sprites have been improved in some way, shape or form
- Various dialog and text fixes, such as fixing a ton of typos, changing "Pokey" to "Porky", and correcting PSI prefixes. (PSI > PK for offensive attacks)
- A few battle theme changes to add more variety to battles and better fit the enemy you're fighting

In future updates to the hack I would also like to revamp the over-world sprites similarly to how I've done the battle sprites. (AKA, to make the sprites look better while retaining the Vanilla look and art-style of the game)
Similarly, I have no ETA to when this would happen. I haven't even begun work on the over-world sprites at all, and it took me a year just to get this far.

FAQ:

//How do I install the hack?
It's easy. You download a patching program that supports IPS files (I personally recommend "Floating IPS") and apply the patch file (the .ips file included in this download) to an unmodified EarthBound ROM. Then just load the new, patched EarthBound ROM in your favorite emulator (I recommend SNES9X)
Make sure you are using the EarthBound ROM with an MD5 value of "a864b2e5c141d2dec1c4cbed75a42a85". As long as the MD5 matches, everything in the hack should work as normal.
