Story: It's New Year's Eve, and Bowser has kidnapped Peach to ruin the celebration! Mario must save her!

ABOUT:

I wanted to do a New Year-themed hack since January 2020, and there aren't a lot of hacks with this theme. Work on it started in early December 2020 and was finished on the.

HISTORY:

04/12/2020: Work on the hack started.
30/12/2020: N450 tests the beta.
31/12/2020: Version 1.0 is released.
01/01/2021: Update 1.1 is released.
06/02/2021: Update 1.2 is released.

BUGS:
-----
The HDMA gradient flickers when you press a buttn in the title screen and when you enter The End.
One of the chains in a Ball 'n Chain (specifically the one on screen 18) disappears for a split second.

V1.2 (06/02/2021):
* Fixed being able to walk right from Iggy's Castle if you've unlocked it through the secret exit of Boos and Fences, which resulted in being able to play Buster Forest and Pogo Forest without unlocking them (reported by Tommitalia).
* Adjusted some jumps in Buster Forest.
* Fixed issue with the title screen song because of both channel being on the same octave.
* Jump sound effect is now accurate to the original SMW.
* Added goal whistle to the course clear theme.
* In the No-Yoshi intros, the level's respective song is played instead of the vanilla music.
* Changed the design of the Mario solid and sprite solid blocks to their JUMP½ designs (they're now available in the graphics section so anyone can use it now).
* Darkened the background in Yellow Switch to make the new transparent blocks easy to see.
* Added a mucher to Transparent Blocks (previously named Dotted Block Cave).
* Made some of the parts with the torpedo launchers in Firework Lake easier to pass (specifically the ones with only 2 spaces).

V1.1 (01/01/2021):
* Added 2021 to the title screen (the year now says 2020-2021) because this is a 2021 release.
* Changes to Firework Lake: Redesigned the area where you can find a vine block, that block was changed to a multi-coin block, fixed cheese, added a few more coins and disabled vertical scroll. This is due to the level using a layer 3 tide.
* Added "And of course, you can kill them with a stomp too." to the second message in Pogo Forest. This is because N450 thought you couldn't kill them by stomping on them.
* Fixed item memory in sublevels. This primarily affected the Pogo Forest bonus area (sulevel 2D in LM) where only one coin was there, the missing coins were necessary to be able to hit the turn blocks after hitting the P-Switch.
