Double Z / http://www.romhacking.net/community/5043/ and http://www.romhacking.net/community/873/’s next collab brings with it full use of http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/5585/’s Mattrizzle Player Engine, and in turn at least 250 playable characters! Look for 64 secret players, a handful of hiddens available only through par codes, and a massive roster update in this release. With more than 170 current NBA players at your fingertips, each team’s expanded roster has no less than five jammers from the end of the 2020-21 season. As of 2K22 TE’s release, no other NBA Jam hack out there boasts this many current NBA players.

The NBA Jam 2K22 - Tournament Edition v1.28.1.1 [U] [h] [x].smc file is a modified SNES ROM of NBA Jam - Tournament Edition.
Any IPS of this file should be patched to a headerless NBA Jam - Tournament Edition (U) [!] ROM.
This ROM can be opened and played via several emulators, including ZSNES or Snes9X for Windows and SuperRetro16 (f/k/a SuperGNES) for Android.

Looking to relocate the Raptors to Tampa?
After patching your NBA Jam T.E. ROM to create NBA Jam 2K22 TE, next apply the Raptors DLC patch (NBA Jam 2k22 TE - Tampa Bay Raps DLC v3 [U] [h] [x].ips) to your NBA Jam 2K22 TE ROM.
Do not apply the Raptors DLC patch to any other NBA Jam TE ROM or hack, as the patch is only meant for NBA Jam 2K22 TE and will otherwise cause unintended results.

Beyond accessing players through the initials screen, there are a handful that can be accessed only by using PAR codes.
Each of the 256 players in the game has a hexadecimal value ranging from 00 to FF.
Tacking that value onto the par code gives you a cheat allowing you to "always" play as the person assigned that hex value
(as long as you have the par code activated).
