Final Fantasy III: Off the Hook

There is a hook outside the entrance to the Phoenix Cave which either of your two parties can use to exit and return to the airship. However, if you mistime the jump to the hook, your character will wind up on the pulley above it. This patch ensures that there are no timing issues.

The GBA patches fix the same issue in the Dragons' Den and Soul Shrine bonus dungeons.

All PS1 patches include undo data.
SNES patches work on ROM v1.0 or v1.1.

URGENCY:
Low.

PURPOSE:
When you enter the Phoenix Cave, the airship hovers overhead; a hook dangles near the entrance to allow you to return and complete the dungeon later. However, depending on your timing grabbing the hook, it is possible for the character that grabs it to end up ABOVE the hook. This patch ensures that the hook is always grabbed correctly.

The GBA patches fix the same issue in the two bonus dungeons, the Dragons' Den and the Soul Shrine.
