The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past: Zelda3 Goddess of Wisdom

This hack was originally called --Zelda Shards of Might--. It was made by Omega and SePH, But unfortunately it was bugged. Zelda didn't appear in the guardhouse. This could be fixed, but the forest dungeon was heavily bugged. The game was unsolvable.

Luckily Francais from France removed those major bugs. He called the hack --Zelda Link to the future Chapter 3--. But the game was still bugged. You get Zelda at the beginning, but when you talk to your uncle, she disappeared. Some entrances were switched, which would result in false game play and all jumps diagonally-down would crash the game.

You can't rescue Zelda since there is no staircase that leads to the priest, so the rain never stops and the palace guards didn't disappear. The game was again unsolvable.

Removed all mentioned bugs and have made new gameplay. Two dungeons were extended. There were also crash bugs inside the dungeons. All this was fixed.

Sometimes, the logic of the dungeon was false (some key doors were optional or there would be a key behind the key door). Plus, you really don't know if you should search for pendants or crystals. All this was fixed.

All the major bugs were removed. All bug entrances were removed. Birdstatue was bugged,
it was removed, so when you get the flute, just play, and the bird will appear.
All down-diagonals were blocked by fence, so you cant crush the game this way.
Dungeons were made better and more logical. Go around sequences and use of mirror
was reduced. Two dungeons were extended. Some bug areas and houses were removed.

At the beginning go to the only cave not blocked by guard to get the sword.
Then go to guardhouse. Advance normally. Your goal is to rescue Zelda. If you are defeated
with Zelda, you wont end up in a bug (new). When you bring Zelda to the priest, you
can exit normally (new). Now the rain stops.

1. There is no sword 2, only sword 1 and 3, there are no pendants, only crystals.

2. There is no gold powerglove (this would lead to bug area), no shield 3, no armor 2 and 3.

1. You must have the original rom Zelda Link to the past. Here are the details:

Name: Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past (E) [!]
Date of last change: August 23rd 2004
Size: 1.024 KB

If you dont have this specific rom, google it. Type this into search field:
Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past (E) [!]
and you should find it quick.

Don't patch to other roms!


2. Unzip my file using Winzip!, NOT Winrar.


3. When you unzip, you'll get:
A Lunar ips program,
B Zelda Goddess of Wisdom v3-0 ips patch,
C Read me file.

4. You must have all files in one folder = Rom file, Zelda ips file, Lunar ips program.

5. Open Lunar ips and select apply patch.

6. Select Zelda ips file = Zelda Goddess of Wisdom v3-0.ips

7. Now select the file to patch = Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past (E) [!].smc

8. The patching is successful. Now rename the rom file from
"Legend of Zelda, The - A Link to the Past (E) [!]" to "Zelda Goddess of Wisdom v3-0".

This game was finished from beginning to end with the Snes9x emulator for Windows.
This emulator is not the best, but with this game it works fine. You can also
use ZSNES emulator, the best SNES emulator, so they say. Google those emulators and download them.
Then choose load game and select the Goddess of Wisdom rom.

Note: Other emulators like SNES emulators for Wii, DS, PSP, PS are NOT recommended and are NOT
compatible with this game. They don't emulate the way they should.
