Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis

The popular sport of table tennis is recreated in detail in Rockstar Games’ Table Tennis simulation. The player can compete against either the computer or another human player by selecting one of 11 characters (more players can be unlocked as the game progresses), each with its own strengths and limitations. The video game includes all the maneuvers and movements available in the actual sport, including various spins and tremendous smashes. The player builds a meter throughout the game that provides powerful concentrate shots.

There are a variety of game modes, such as the exhibition mode, which consists of a straightforward one-on-one match, and the timed tournament format. A “Table Tennis Network” is also available (exclusively on the Xbox 360), which allows players to compete against one another or watch other players complete their matches.

The Wii version has three control modes: Standard, Sharp Shooter, and Control Freak. These modes enable increasingly intricate control over the player, allowing for more choice over the direction of the hits and the movement of the players. These modes are controlled with the Wii remote and, optionally, the Nunchuck.
